Do I need to have any specific technical skills to install my CHAtU device?

Your CHAtU device is very easy to install. You just have to plug it or attach the battery and it will be up and running after a few seconds. Its easy installation is one of the great advantages of CHAtU.

Does the CHAtU have a battery?

CHAtU devices can be powered by an auxiliary battery, which can be purchased separately and is compatible with Q1, Q3 and Q5 models. CHAtU batteries have an autonomy of up to 4 days.

Can I take my CHAtU device away?

CHAtU Q3 and Q5 models are small, lightweight and compact, making it very easy to take them from one place to another and install them anywhere, whether there is an electric outlet or not, since they can be powered by the CHAtU battery. This feature makes them ideal for use in meetings, presentations, trade fairs, congresses…

Can I share my Internet connection with CHAtU?

With the Q3 and Q5 models it is not possible to share the connection to the Internet. You can do this with the CHAtU SR model, which is also a very powerful WiFi amplifier.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet to access the CHAtU device?

It is not necessary. One of the main advantages of CHAtU technology is that it creates its own private WiFi network, so there is no need for an Internet connection to create your WiFi network or to access the contents of the CHAtU.

How can I access the files stored in my CHAtU device?

To access the contents of the CHAtU it is necessary to enter the device’s WiFi network, in the same way that we would connect to any other wireless network.

Once connected to the WiFi network, how do I open the app?

There are 3 ways to access the webapp CHAtU: through a QR code, through the NFC system or by entering the address app.chatugo.com in the browser.

How do I scan the QR code?

On iPhone: reading QR codes is done by capturing the code with the camera.

On Android devices: any application can be used to scan QR codes.

Is it necessary to download an application to access the files stored on the CHAtU device?

No application download is required. Access to the content of the CHAtU device is done through the webapp, which opens in the browser.

What is the range of CHAtU's WiFi network?

The WiFi signal of CHAtU devices has a range of up to 60 meters in spaces without physical barriers. This distance can vary depending on various factors in each particular case, so it is advisable to check the range of the WiFi zone to distribute the access QR codes within its limits.

How many devices can be connected to CHAtU?

The Q3 and Q5 devices support the simultaneous connection of 5 to 10 devices, depending on traffic or upload and download volume.

Security and confidentiality

Can I share confidential documents securely?

With CHAtU it is possible to share confidential documents safely by creating user accounts with password access. Furthermore, in the webapp it is easy to restrict access to confidential folders and files to specific users and you can manage permissions for each user (only read or read and edit).

Can users who are connected to the same CHAtU remain anonymous with respect to other users?

Yes. They can even exchange documents through the CHAtU server without users having access to other users’ information.

Personalization

Can I customize the server folders and change the icon design?

Through the webapp / admin you can upload your custom icons in .png file format. through the “Files” menu, in the “Resources / icon-packs” folder. This procedure is explained in the manual of your CHAtU device.

Wireless charging

What mobiles can be charged without cable and what does Qi mean?

The wireless charger of the CHAtU Q1, Q3 and Q5 models allows you to charge any mobile phone compatible with a standard called Qi, established by the Wireless Power Consortium in 2008.

We recommend consulting the instruction manual of your mobile device to verify that it is compatible with this charging system.

Qi wireless charging is supported by a large number of mobile models. Among the brands that incorporate it are: Apple, Samsung, Vertu, Vodaphone, Asus, Blackberry, DeWalt, Google, HP, htc, Kyocera, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, MTT, Nokia, Saygua, Sonu and Techdy.

Troubleshooting

From the browser of a Mac computer, once connected to the CHAtU WiFi, when typing in the browser: app.chatugo.com, the webapp does not load. What is wrong?

In this case it will not be possible to enter the app via the url (app.chatugo.com). To solve it you will have to enter the network settings and delete the DNS that has been entered manually. In this way, the DNS assigned by CHAtU (which will be itself) will remain and it will be possible to resolve the name app.chatugo.com.

From Mac you have to go to connection settings, select the WiFi network and access the advanced section, DNS tab.

From the browser of a Windows system computer, once connected to the CHAtU WiFi, when writing in the browser: app.chatugo.com, the webapp does not open. What is wrong?

From Windows you have to go to network settings and choose the WiFi connection. Select properties and choose the item Internet Protocol Version 4 or 6 (depending on what is used).

In “Properties of this element” you access the point where you can assign / delete a DNS address.

I can't open the files on my mobile. What should I do?

When it is not possible to open the files of the CHAtU server on the mobile, we recommend following the following actions:

  1. Check that your mobile is connected to the WiFi of the CHAtU device.
  2. Refresh the browser screen and retry access to the file. If you still can’t open it, proceed to step 3.
  3. Turn off the mobile and turn it on again. Reconnect to the CHAtU’s WiFi network.
